Description:

The CajunAire™ Basic Wastewater Treatment System provides a practical and affordable way for homeowners to treat wastewater from everyday household activities. It’s simple to operate and uses proven technology to help keep your property and the environment safe. The system has been tested and certified to meet NSF/ANSI Standard 40.

System Design:
• Aeration Chamber
• Clarifier Chamber (Quiet Zone)

How It Works:

Wastewater flows directly into the aeration chamber, where air is pumped in to keep the water mixed and supply oxygen. This oxygen helps aerobic bacteria grow and break down the waste. The mixing action keeps solids suspended so they can be treated properly. The returning sludge gives the water in this chamber a brown color, which is a sign of active treatment.

After aeration, the water flows into the clarifier chamber, where it becomes still and solids settle at the bottom to form sludge. The sludge contains bacteria that help treat incoming wastewater, so it’s sent back to the aeration chamber to keep the system working efficiently. The clean water on top, known as effluent, is safe for discharge according to local rules.

The CajunAire™ Basic system is valued for its simplicity, low cost, and reliable performance in treating residential wastewater.
